How do you get to the property from Panama City?

To get to Boquete, you must first come to David, the capitol of Chiriqui Province.  You may come to David by plane, bus or car, whichever is most convenient for you.   Flight information from Panama City to David is at www.aeroperlas.com or www.flyairpanama.com.  Both airlines keep the same fares and the schedules are very close to each other and both fly out of Albrook Airport, about a $30 taxi ride away from PTY.  You may also take the bus from the Terminal de Autobus, near Albrook Airport.  Busses run often and the fares run about $13.00. 
What are exact directions to the property?
When you arrive in David, Boquete is 45 minutes directly north on the Boquete Road, which connects with the Panamerican Highway.  Ask anyone how to get to the highway.  Keep driving north until you get to the Boquete town center.  About a mile past the church, take the right fork; drive over the river and up to the bus bench.  Turn right just before the bench and wind up and around the castle, taking the sharp left hairpin and until you get to the very top.  We are the first house on the left where the sign says “KENT”.  Please drive in and ring the ship’s bell at the front door.  There is also bus service from the bus station in David to Boquete, fare is $2.00.
How far is it from the property from the Boquete Town Center?
You can walk into town in about 40 minutes.  Taxis are available and the cost is $2.00 for the ride to the door.  Public bus is $1.00.

What activities are available in Boquete and nearby areas?

How far is the nearest gym or fitness center?
The gym is in the town center and a circuit-style fitness center is about 15 minutes from the property by car.     

What should I be sure to pack?
You will want to bring long pants, long and short sleeve shirts, light jacket, walking shoes, camera, binoculars, flip-flops, hat, rain gear, guide book, sunscreen and insect repellant.  Passports and US $s are absolutely necessary!  ATMs are available throughout Panama. 
How far is the nearest grocery store?
The nearest grocery store is two minutes down the mountain by car and the nearest 24-hour supermarket is just 5 minutes away, in the town center.  A start-up supply of basic foodstuffs are provided; milk, wine, juice, coffee, rice, etc. 
What is the weather like?
Our opinion is that the weather is perfect all year around, we don't need any heat or air conditioning.  But, for more accurate information, please go to www.boqueteweather.com.
Do I bring my computer?
WiFi and internet connections are provided, and there is a desk in each unit.  If you don't bring your computer, there are many internet cafes in the town center and rates are very low. 
Is crime a problem in Boquete?

Our neighborhood is a "destination" community, meaning that there is only own way in and out, making it unusual to find people here who are not living or visiting the neighborhood.  The streets in El Santuario are well lit at night.  However, typical precautions should always be taken, like locking doors at night or when you are away, closing windows to their stops and drawing curtains in the evenings seem common in these times.  A personal safe is provided in each unit.  The only crimes we know about in Boquete were house thefts made when typical precautions were not taken.  Street crime in Boquete is unheard of.  
Where can I do my laundry? 
A washer and dryer are provided on the premises, as well as ironing board and iron, no charge.  Your weekly housekeeper does not do your laundry, but she will change your linens if you launder them.  Her typical duties include washing dishes, cleaning and disinfecting the bathroom and floors, dusting, washing windows and general maintenance.
